Position title: B.S. Mathematics
Professor Negrut contacted Spencer in the summer between his second and third years as an undergraduate student, offering him a position as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. During his time in the lab, Spencer primarily worked with the Chrono::Engine MPI module, leveraging the Euler CPU cluster to develop multi-million-body simulations of granular terrain. This work culminated in a Hilldale Undergraduate Research Fellowship his senior year. Nowadays, Spencer works as a software developer at the Middleton, WI office of Esker, an international business-to-business software company.
