Re: Mistakes in Course Notes & HW Assignments

I can't for the life of me figure out why v_old shows up in the residual of the mass-spring-damper problem.

residual = m*a_new + c*v_old*v_new*v_new + k*x_new*x_new*x_new - sin(2*crntTime);

I'm thinking it should be:
residual = m*a_new + c*v_new*v_new*v_new + k*x_new*x_new*x_new - sin(2*crntTime);

That's a mistake.
Also there is a mistake in the value of the acceleration at t_0.
i'll take care of them shortly and post here.

Re: Mistakes in Course Notes & HW Assignments

I can't open mp3 files of Lecture 23, 24 & 20 on the webpage.
This is due to just technical problem?

For 20: i forgot to press the "record" button, so no audio.

Re: Mistakes in Course Notes & HW Assignments

Slide 8 of 4/13

The bottom most entry for phi_DP1 with respect to q, and then q again.  Entries [4,1] and [4,2] should have both B's as transposed.  This way they are 4x3 matrices.

Re: Mistakes in Course Notes & HW Assignments

This is right, thank you, Chris.
I edited the pdf and pptx to reflect this.
