Project 2 Body 1 COM

In figure 8.2.3 it shows the body 1 coordinate system centered at the origin. Do we assume the center of the body is the COM and move the coordinate system there or leave it there?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is just that 8.2.3 is a bit misleading. In 8.2.3 it models body 1 as a link, but the rest of the chapter describes it as a flywheel. If we assume it's a wheel, then the COM is the origin. This is somewhat verified on p283 where it says "CoM of the bodies are at the origins of the body-fixed reference frames in fig. 5.2.1". In 5.2.1 the LRF's are setup as they are in 8.2.3.

if i remember correctly COM is at origin.
