Maximum Kernel execution time on windows

Observation/ heads-up for people programming on Windows

Apparently there is a "maximum kernel execution time" when running Cuda on windows and crashes if exceeds. Windows limits time spent on graphics card to around 5 sec for every program.

Re: Maximum Kernel execution time on windows

Goldy - thanks for the post.
here're two remarks:
- as you pointed out it only happens on windows
- it only happens if you use the primary gpu card that drives your monitor. In other words, not a Tesla type card, which doesn't have video output.

So there is no reason to panic.
Thanks for posting this.
